And it just so happens that Ben and Jerry's happens to be my favourite ice cream. You may have read in my blog that America can boast fifty five different flavours of its Ben and Jerry's ice cream (including frozen yogurts and sobets, delicious in their own right) while the UK only hold thirteen.
So without further ado, I present to you a list of all fifty six flavours as I devour them throughout my year. It probably won't take long
Devoured
'Boston Cream Pie' - Boston Cream Pie Ice Cream with Yellow Cake Pieces, Fudge Flakes & Swirls of Pasty Cream'
Very creamy as you can imagine, glides effortlessly over the tongue and down the throat. Leaves a nice soothing feeling in the back of the mouth with each spoonful.
'Chubby Hubby' - Fudge Covered Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels in Vanilla Malt Ice Cream Rippled with Fudge and Peanut Butter
Possibly the best thing I have ever tasted. Every spoonful is a new orgasm for the digestive system. You can tell the different by the use of Vanilla Malt and with the slightly bitter taste of the Pretzels I couldn't imagine anything that would improve this perfect dessert.
'Milk and Cookies' - Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Cookie Swirl, Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Basically just Vanilla Ice cream with some Chocolate cookies whipped in. Don't get me wrong it's still a tasty ice cream. But mainly because you can't go wrong with ice cream and cookies. If this was a completely new invention it would probably be amazing however I've been having this for years.
'Americone Dream' - Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge Covered Waffle Cone Pieces and a Caramel Swirl
If you love Caramel then you'll really love this. I tell you me they haven't gone lightly on the caramel at all. Just the right amount so you get the amazing mix of the two textures between the smooth Ice Cream and the thick Caramel but without making it too sickly. The Fudge Covered Waffle Cone Pieces are nice enough but there's already enough taste going on with the caramel to properly notice that the waffle is fudge covered.
'New York Super Fudge Chunk' - Chocolate Ice Cream with White & Dark Fudge Chunks, Pecans, Walnuts & Fudge-Covered Almonds
At first I found it very strange having nuts in Ice cream. And in fact at first I wasn't really enjoying it. But it actually grew on me quite quickly. Soon I found I was savouring every chance to bite into a chuck of fudge covered nut. Providing extra crunch to the otherwise quite plain chocolate Ice Cream.
'Cake Butter' - Yellow Cake Batter Ice Cream with a Chocolate Frosting Swirl
Yellow cake batter, yet another ice cream mix completely new to me. And I have to say I feel like it could have done with a little something extra. You can certainly taste the yellow cake batter very well and it works perfectly with the Chocolate frosting swirl but all in all you have a few tablespoons and you feel done with it.
'everything but the...' - A Collision of Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Creams with HEATH Bar Chunks, White Chocolatey Chunks, Peanut Butter Cups & Chocolatey-Covered Almonds
I have to say here they've gone for quantity more than quality. Nothing really stands out in this ice cream apart from it just has a wide mix of filling chunks. But still the same amount altogether as you would have in another Ben and Jerry's ice cream with also has a chunky filling. The HEATH(?) bar Chunks put me right off to be honest, they definitely don't felt like they were suited to be in an ice cream. More like a breakfast cereal.
'Mission to Marzipan' - Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Almond Cookies & a Marzipan Swirl
Now this has to be my favourite so far along with 'Chubby Hubby'. Marzipan can be a marmite factor with some people, I however love it. And it mixes so well with the Sweet Cream Ice Cream, much more than if it was a plain Vanilla Ice Cream. The Almond Cookies just make perfection better.
'Sorbet Berried Treasure' - Chunky Blueberry and Blackberry Sorbet Swirled with Zesty Lemon Sorbet
This is one of my first Ben and Jerry's that isn't an ice cream, and is one of only two Sorbets available. Probably because of that I ate the whole tub in less than ten minutes. It goes down so surprising easy it feels like you're not eating anything at all. And as far as I'm concerned adding fruit to a dessert will only ever improve it. This might have to Challenge 'Mission to Marzipan' and 'Chubby Hubby' for my number one.

Meh.
'Late Night Snack' - Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl & Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters
I'm going to start off on a low but finish on a high for this one. The crisp clusters were very strange. They seem to be only slightly salted so they didn't hold much of their own taste and being fudge covered certainly isn't helping them out. It's like having Ketchup on your cereal. The Salty Caramel Swirl however is something that would sound awful but is actually amazing. Somehow it just works so well with the Vanilla Bean. If only there were marshmallows of something else instead of crisp clusters instead.
'Mint Chocolate Cookie' - Peppermint Ice Cream with Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
Everything you'd want and more. The Chocolate Sandwich Cookies are basically just Oreos but just not Oreos. And hold the same taste and texture as the biscuit part of a Maxibon. My favourite ice cream when I was a wee lad. And of course you can never go wrong with Mint Ice Cream.
